“Grumps”
1881 – 1979
Grumps aka Ngin Ngin was Voy’s mother. She had bound feet so she sat most of the time. Linda kept Grumps busy by asking her to re-hem all her skirts and dresses to “mini” level as was the trend at the time in the 70’s. Grumps also passed the time by cutting out beautiful stencils of imaginary butterflies, spiders, octopi, lotus, and auspicious symbols.
